Fujisawa's Kidney and Liver Transplant Journal

McLean, VA - Consumer Health Information Corporation wins a 2003 National Health Information Gold Award in the 10th annual competition for the Fujisawa Healthcare Inc.'s "Transplant Journal: Starting Your New Life." Nearly 1,100 entries were submitted to this awards program which recognizes the nation's best consumer health information programs and materials.

According to Patricia Henze, Executive Director of the Health Information Resource Center, "These awards set an industry standard of quality for consumer health materials, and this 'seal of quality' helps health professionals find the best consumer health information resources for their programs."

"We are very excited the Transplant Journal has been recognized with this award," said Sue Ellen Knutson, R.Ph., Director of Consumer Marketing, Fujisawa Healthcare, Inc. "Consumer Health Information Corporation's work has resulted in a successful multi-component DTC educational program that is sent upon request to kidney and liver transplant patients. The awards program is coordinated by the Health Information Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for consumer health information programs and material.
