University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy

McLean, VA - (April 26, 2004) — Dorothy L. Smith, Pharm.D., president and founder of Consumer Health Information Corporation became an alumnae member of the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy Alpha Omicron Chapter of Phi Lambda Sigma, a national pharmacy leadership society.

Phi Lambda Sigma, also known as the national Pharmacy Leadership Society, was formed in 1965 to promote, foster and recognize leaders and support leadership commitment among pharmacy students. Leaders in pharmacy, students, faculty and alumni alike, are selected for membership by peer recognition. Dorothy L. She is a 1972 graduate of University of Cincinnati Medical Center, College of Pharmacy.

Neil E. Ernst, President of the University of Cincinnati Phi Lambda Sigma chapter said, “We are delighted Dr. Smith, a true vanguard in pharmacy, has accepted our invitation to join Phi Lambda Sigma. It is an honor to have someone with Dr. Smith’s credentials, leadership skills, vision and compassion join the organization.”

Dr. Smith develops programs and materials for patients and consumers to help them make informed decisions about their health care and medication use.
